Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Fire Protection Engineer to support its rapidly growing Data Center practice. You will design fire protection systems for large-scale missions, perform code analysis, and coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams to meet stringent reliability and life-safety standards.

You will collaborate with clients, AHJs, and internal leadership to advance fire protection capabilities and contribute to business development in the Data Center market.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Fire Protection Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of fire protection engineering experience.
• Extensive knowledge of NFPA Codes, IBC/IFC, FM Global Data Sheets, OSHA and local codes.

Responsibilities

• Design fire protection systems for Data Center and mission-critical projects.
• Develop design criteria, basis of design reports, and technical standards.
• Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, structural, civil, and architectural teams; interface with AHJs and clients.
• Support project managers with scope, staffing, budgets, schedules and risk management.
• Assist in business development activities within the Data Center market, including proposals.
