Job summary
Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. seeks a Fire Protection Engineer to support its rapidly growing Data Center practice across multiple US locations.
You will lead fire protection design, code analysis, and life-safety engineering for mission-critical facilities, collaborating with clients, architects, and multidisciplinary teams to meet stringent reliability and code requirements. The role emphasizes developing design criteria, performing hydraulic calculations, and supporting business development
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Fire Protection Engineering or related field is required.
- 5+ years of fire protection engineering experience is expected.
- Strong knowledge of NFPA, IBC, IFC, and fire protection design standards.
Responsibilities
- Serve as Fire Protection Engineer for Data Center and mission critical projects.
- Develop fire protection design criteria, basis of design, and technical standards.
- Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, structural, and civil teams.
- Interface with clients, AHJs, and insurers to obtain approvals.
- Perform hydraulic calculations for water distribution networks and systems.
