Job summary

ABB is seeking a Field Service Technician II to lead start-up, commissioning and post-start-up field services within the data center market across the United States. You will travel 90–100% of the time, coordinate with site teams, and ensure work is performed safely, on time, and to ABB quality standards while delivering excellent customer service.

The role requires hands-on electrical/electronics experience, NEC knowledge, and strong communication skills in English; US work authorization is

Qualifications

• Electrical design knowledge and NEC familiarity.
• Minimum education/experience as stated: HS diploma +5 years, or assoc degree +3 years, or bachelor's +3 years.
• Able to collaborate with maintenance, engineering and management.
• Proficient with Microsoft and Google suites; familiar with project software.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute field service work per customer order and schedule.
• Travel 90–100% across the United States for data center service projects.
• Coordinate with Site Manager and senior technicians to drive improvements.
• Troubleshoot equipment and document test reports.
• Assist with parts ordering, issue resolution, and provisioning.
• Maintain safety, quality, and environmental standards on site.
