Job summary

Supermicro is seeking a Data Center Service Engineer based in Quincy, WA to perform fieldwork at customer sites, resolve server system issues, and support our Global Service network.

This is a hands-on, on-site role requiring strong hardware skills, Linux/Windows experience, excellent communication, and the ability to travel up to 25%. You will train colleagues and contribute to service programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/CE/EE or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of 2 years of field support for complex X86 systems.
• On-site customer service experience preferred.
• Hands-on experience with servers (Supermicro, EMC, DELL, HP).
• Strong technical communication skills.
• Proficient in English (read/write/speak).

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot on-site and remotely for Supermicro equipment in enterprise environments.
• Lead preventive maintenance and manage repair/parts cycles.
• Provide 2nd line support to resellers and distributors.
• Travel to field sites up to 25% to train and resolve issues.
• Train new service engineers.
• Produce meaningful reports and metrics.
