Job summary

Super Micro Computer is seeking a Data Center Service Engineer to perform fieldwork at customer sites and resolve server system issues. You will be part of post-sales support with strong technical aptitude in servers and excellent interpersonal skills.

The role supports our Global Service network and helps build a world-class field engineering team, requiring travel to client sites and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent work experience.
• 2+ years field support experience on complex X86 systems.
• On-site customer service experience preferred.
• Strong hardware diagnostics; BIOS/drivers issues understood.

Responsibilities

• On-site and remote troubleshooting of Supermicro server systems in customer environments.
• Provide second-line support to resellers/distributors as needed.
• Travel to customer sites and up to 25% travel.
• Train and assist customers and junior engineers in service procedures.
• Collaborate with TAM, Service Manager, and Product Manager on service programs.
