Job summary

Sundt is seeking a Project Engineer to serve as the technical source of information for the project. You will respond to drawings, specifications, shop drawings, and change orders and assist in writing RFIs, meeting minutes, and reviewing submittals.

Maintain professional relationships with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers. This position includes three steps (I, II and Senior); the Senior step is used for employees with more than 4 years of experience and/or on larger

Qualifications

• Ability to assume responsibility and communicate with others.
• Entry-level position requiring a four-year construction-related degree or equivalent experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Assists Project Engineer in developing and maintaining as-built drawings and related tasks; processes submittals, change orders, RFIs, and meeting minutes.
• Participates in risk management and supports project scope activities to ensure successful completion.
• Supports administration of the project quality management plan and reinforces safety culture on site.
• May assist in calculating daily production rates and unit costs for self-performed work; maintains logs and reports.
• Oversees BIM coordination between subcontractors and designers as required.
• Assists in LEED documentation and creation/update of ORD drawings.
• Contributes lines, grades and layout for the project and maintains logbooks.
• Maintains weekly quantity logs and supports budgeting and cost control processes.
• Provides support to superintendents for execution of work and resolves field problems.
