Job summary

Mortenson is seeking an Electrical Journeyman to join our Structured Cabling team. You will assemble, install, test, and maintain low voltage electrical systems, including structured cabling components, racks, and pathway systems.

You will perform fusion splicing of fiber optics, test using OTDR and power meters, read plans, and document work per company standards. A valid driver's license and strong teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Networking and low-voltage cabling knowledge preferred.
• Ability to interpret plans and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, install, test, and maintain low voltage wiring and fixtures.
• Complete installations of structured cabling components and cabinets.
• Perform fusion splicing of fiber optics with mass fusion techniques.
• Conduct fiber testing with OTDR, power meters, and inspection scopes.
• Document work records and maintain safety and quality standards.
