Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Data Center Facility Manager to lead critical physical infrastructure and ensure the reliability of AWS data centers. You will oversee 24x7 engineering teams, coordinate with vendors, and drive improvements across complex electrical and mechanical systems.

The role requires hands-on experience with diesel generators, switchgear, UPS, CRAC units, chillers, pumps and building automation. You’ll work in a fast-paced, safety-conscious environment with a strong focus on cost

Qualifications

• 2+ years of work in a management position with 5 or more direct reports experience.
• 3+ years of experience in industrial electrical or mechanical systems.
• 3+ years of administrative experience including Microsoft Office products.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of the data center's critical physical infrastructure.
• Manage teams of 24x7 engineering technicians in all facets of their career.
• Engage in improvement projects and drive them from conception to completion.
• Coordinate daily with third‑party vendors ensuring adherence to SLAs.
• Effectively manage the operations budget and expenditures.
• Routinely operate as the after‑hour on‑call Data Center Facility Manager for the region.
