Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Cleared Engineering Operations Technician in New Albany, OH to join the Data Center Engineering Operations team. The role covers hands-on electrical and mechanical equipment troubleshooting, with 12-hour rotating shifts and 24/7 coverage to support critical facilities.

You will perform routine rounds, maintenance tasks, and incident response, while adhering to safety procedures and security requirements.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of relevant work experience.
• Current, active US Government Security Clearance of Top Secret with SCI eligibility.
• Can bend or twist the body into unusual positions while working.
• Can walk on job sites in uneven terrain.
• Can work at heights and from ladders.
• Can use hands to manipulate small wires and objects.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain mechanical and electrical equipment within the data center.
• Troubleshoot facility and rack-level events within internal SLAs.
• Perform limited maintenance tasks including filter changes, HVAC PMs, rack power installs, rack PDU, and rack ATS replacements.
• Provide support to Data Center Operations technicians.
• Perform root cause analysis of equipment failures.
• Ensure all safety procedures are adhered to while performing work.
• Work a 12 hour shift (rotating 3 and 4 day work weeks days or nights).
• Take daily operational readings of all mechanical and electrical equipment through routine rounds/log taking.
