Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. seeks a Data Center Engineering Technician to maintain and troubleshoot mission‑critical facilities, including diesel generators, UPSs, PDUs, CRAC, chillers, cooling towers, and fire/life safety systems.

Role involves on‑site work, 12‑hour shifts, and rotating on‑call rotations across multiple data center sites. You will monitor equipment, assist with rack installs and decommissioning, manage contractors, and report metrics to senior engineers while ensuring safety and

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience.
• 2+ years of data center engineering experience.
• 2+ years of relevant work experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervise contractors who perform servicing or preventive maintenance.
• Perform preventative maintenance tasks and PMs on racks and diesel generators.
• Perform root‑cause analysis for operational issues.
• Troubleshoot facility and rack‑level events.
• Ensure all personnel on‑site follow safety protocols.
• Work on‑call and on a rotating schedule.
• Take daily operational readings and provide metrics to senior engineers.
• Handle ticketing systems and prioritize tasks.
