Job summary

Amazon is seeking an Engineering Operation Technician to support data centers across the West region, including OR, NV, and AZ. You will perform hands-on electrical and mechanical maintenance of critical facilities, coordinate with site teams, and help ensure 99.999% uptime.

Travel to multiple locations and rotating shifts may apply; on-site safety and procedures are mandatory. The role emphasizes field troubleshooting, PM, and technical documentation while supporting a diverse AWS engineering

Qualifications

2+ years of electrical and mechanical facilities maintenance.
2+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience.
Work flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and holidays.

Responsibilities

Daily building rounds to monitor electrical and mechanical equipment for 24/7 reliability.
Monitor Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Management System (EPMS).
Assist in troubleshooting facility and rack-level events within SLA we follow.
Perform rack installs and decommissioning within SLA.
PM, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and repair of equipment.
Technical writing to support change management program.
Manage daily work requests and drive projects from conception to completion.
On-site support of contractors and vendors per practices and local laws.
