Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Data Center Engineering Technician to safeguard mission-critical infrastructure across multiple sites.

You will monitor electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety systems, perform preventive maintenance, and troubleshoot complex facility issues to ensure maximum uptime. In this role you will work with cross-functional teams, coordinate with contractors, and adapt to a shifting schedule with potential travel.

Qualifications

• Must have electrical and mechanical facilities maintenance experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Willingness to work flexible schedules including weekends, nights, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Daily building rounds to monitor electrical, mechanical, and fire safety equipment for 24/7 reliability.
• Monitor Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Management System (EPMS).
• Assist in troubleshooting facility and rack-level events within SLAs.
• Perform rack installs and decommissioning within SLA.
• Perform PM, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and repair of electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Technical writing to support change management programs.
• Monitor daily work requests and drive to resolution; execute projects end-to-end.
• On-site support of contractors and vendors, ensuring compliance with practices and local regulations.
• Shifts can be up to 12 hours and may rotate; some locations have on-call rotations.
• Role may support more than one location/site.
