Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Data Center Engineering Technician to safeguard the reliability of its critical data center facilities.

You will monitor electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety systems, support server, storage, networking, power and cooling equipment, and help maintain 99.999% uptime. Qualifications

1+ year of electrical or mechanical facilities maintenance experience.
1+ year of Microsoft Office products and applications experience.
Availability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, nights, and holidays.

Responsibilities

Perform daily building rounds to monitor electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment.
Monitor Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Management System (EPMS).
Troubleshoot facility and rack-level events within SLA.
Perform rack installs and decommissioning within internal SLA.
Conduct preventive maintenance, root cause analysis, and repair of equipment.
Document technical aspects to support change management.
Manage daily work requests to resolution; execute projects end-to-end.
Coordinate with contractors, sub-contractors, and vendors on-site.
Support multiple data center sites; travel to other locations as needed.
Shifts may include up to 12-hour days and on-call rotations.
