Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Data Center Engineering Technician in Santa Clara, CA. You will be on the front line maintaining mission-critical facilities, including generators, switchgear, UPS, PDUs, and cooling systems, ensuring high uptime and safety across multiple sites.

The role requires hands-on electrical and mechanical maintenance, ability to travel between data center locations as needed, and flexibility for extended shifts.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of electrical and mechanical facilities maintenance experience.
• 2+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience.
• Willingness to work flexible schedules including weekends, nights, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Daily building rounds to monitor electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment.
• Monitor Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Management System (EPMS).
• Assist in troubleshooting facility and rack-level events within SLAs.
• Perform rack installs and decommissioning within SLAs.
• PM, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and repair of equipment.
