Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking Data Center Engineering Operations Technicians to perform hands-on electrical and mechanical maintenance in our data centers. The role requires 12-hour rotating shifts and entails working with generators, switchgear, UPS, PDUs, AHUs, pumps, and related systems.

Candidates must have US citizenship and hold an active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph. You will troubleshoot equipment, perform limited maintenance, and support senior technicians while ensuring

Qualifications

• US citizenship required; TS/SCI clearance with polygraph required.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph to be maintained after start.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain mechanical, electrical, generator, and fire/life safety equipment.
• Troubleshoot facility equipment and rack-level events within SLAs.
• Perform preventive maintenance and simple upgrades (filters, HVAC PMs, rack power installs).
• Provide support to Data Center Operations technicians.
• Write procedures and document activities.
• Work 12-hour shifts, rotating days/nights.
• Use CMMS to manage workflows and inventory.
