Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking Data Center Engineering Operations Technicians responsible for hands-on electrical and mechanical operations in our data centers.

You will manage standby generators, switchgear, UPS, PDUs, AHUs, pumps, motors, VFDs, and building automation systems while supporting 24/7 shift coverage, including 12-hour shifts and rotating weeks. The role requires US citizenship and an active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph, with ongoing requirements to maintain clearance

Qualifications

• 2+ years of relevant work experience.
• Current, active US Government Security Clearance of Top Secret with SCI eligibility or above.
• Willingness to obtain TS/SCI with polygraph after start and satisfy security requirements.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain mechanical, electrical, generator, and fire/life safety equipment within the data center.
• Troubleshoot facility equipment and rack-level events within internal SLAs.
• Perform limited maintenance tasks including filter changes, HVAC PMs, rack power installs, rack PDU, and rack ATS replacements.
• Provide support to Data Center Operations technicians.
• Perform root cause analysis of equipment failures.
• Ensure safety procedures are followed.
