You will manage a team across multiple sites, coordinate capacity, optimize plant safety and reliability, and drive performance against budgets and timelines. AWS emphasizes safety, security, and inclusive culture.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of people management and team development experience.
• High school or equivalent.
• Experience maintaining SLAs via proactive issue detection and reporting.
• Experience operating a mission-critical data center team or product.
• Knowledge of electrical and mechanical data center systems (generators, switchgear, UPS, PDU, chillers, CRAC, etc.)

Responsibilities

• On-site management of shift technicians, senior shift technicians, sub-contractors and vendors.
• Primary responsibility for availability zone of Data Centers.
• Participates in strategic planning projects.
• Conducts financial analysis and contributes to decisions.
• Typically manages 5+ direct reports (manager of managers).
• Oversees contracts and space rollout; may lead facility buildouts.
• Participates in recruiting; mentors staff and developers.
• Executes vision and goals for the team and projects.
