Job summary

Google is hiring a Strategic Negotiator to secure cost-effective energy solutions for its global data center footprint. You will lead complex energy supply formations, negotiate PPAs, and manage vendor relationships to support infrastructure growth.

The role requires extensive experience in energy procurement and PPA structuring, with a focus on microgrids and BTM energy solutions, working with cross-functional teams across regions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 6 years of experience in energy project development, utility procurement, or finance/consulting roles.
• 6 years of experience developing or structuring power purchase agreements for microgrids, Behind-the-Meter (BTM) power agreements, gas turbines, Battery Energy Storage System (BESS), fuel cell or geothermal energy.

Responsibilities

• Lead highly complex energy supply formation and commercial structuring, including PPAs and related contracts.
• Coordinate cross-functional workstreams: market analysis, economic modeling, risk assessment, and stakeholder alignment.
• Identify new energy-ready sites and build relationships with energy partners including IPPs, utilities, and co-ops.
• Contribute to Google’s data center portfolio through energy due diligence during site selection and project development.
