Job summary

LVI Associates seeks an Electrical Superintendent for a major data center project in Indianapolis, IN. This on-site role oversees electrical field activities, coordinates with trades, and ensures safety, quality, and schedule adherence on a Friday-to-Friday basis with a travel allowance for off-site work.

The candidate will lead subcontractors, review drawings, and drive installation progress while maintaining QA/QC standards and supporting testing, energization and turnover activities.

Qualifications

• 7-10+ years of construction experience, with a strong focus on electrical systems and field operations.
• Experience as Electrical Superintendent / similar field leadership role.
• Experience managing large electrical subcontractors and complex scopes of work.
• Strong understanding of electrical drawings, specifications and construction sequencing.
• Experience coordinating electrical work with other trades.
• Strong knowledge of construction safety, QA/QC and field documentation.
• Ability to manage schedules, manpower and subcontractor performance.
• Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Data center, mission critical, advanced manufacturing or large-scale industrial experience is highly desirable.
• OSHA 30 or equivalent safety training would be advantageous.
• Willingness to work on-site Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate electrical construction activities across the project.
• Manage electrical subcontractors and monitor field performance.
• Review electrical drawings, specifications and installation requirements.
• Coordinate electrical work with mechanical, structural and architectural trades.
• Manage daily field priorities, sequencing and manpower requirements.
• Develop and maintain short-term look-ahead schedules.
• Monitor electrical progress against project milestones.
• Identify clashes, delays and constructability issues before impact to schedule.
• Oversee electrical QA/QC and ensure installations meet requirements.
• Coordinate inspections, testing and documentation.
• Maintain high safety standards across electrical field operations.
• Support RFIs, field changes and coordination with engineering and design teams.
• Monitor material and equipment deliveries to align with construction schedule.
• Support energization, testing, commissioning and project turnover activities.
• Provide regular progress updates to Project Manager and leadership.
