Job summary

Metric DCX seeks an experienced Electrical Safety Manager to lead safety strategy and ensure compliance for our data center projects. You will implement NFPA 70E, OSHA, and NEC standards, manage arc-flash risk assessments, and oversee training programs.

You will collaborate with facilities, engineering, and operations to enforce safe practices around high-voltage systems, investigate incidents, maintain documentation, and drive a proactive safety culture across the organization.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in electrical safety, EHS, or a related field.
• Experience in data center, mission-critical facilities, or high-voltage electrical environments strongly preferred.
• Deep knowledge of NFPA 70E, OSHA 1910/1926, and NEC codes.
• CESCP or similar certification a plus.
• Strong communication and training/facilitation skills.
• Ability to assess risk and make sound safety decisions under pressure.
• Bachelor's degree in Safety, Engineering, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience).

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and improve electrical safety programs in compliance with NFPA 70E, OSHA, and NEC standards.
• Conduct arc flash risk assessments, hazard analyses, and job safety planning.
• Lead electrical safety training programs for employees, contractors, and vendors.
• Partner with facilities, engineering, and operations teams to ensure safe work practices around high-voltage and critical power systems.
• Investigate incidents, near-misses, and safety violations; drive corrective actions.
• Maintain compliance documentation, audits, and regulatory reporting.
• Support commissioning and maintenance activities in mission-critical or data center environments.
• Champion a proactive safety culture across all levels of the organization.
