Job summary

Metric DCX is seeking an experienced Electrical Safety Manager to lead safety strategy and compliance for a Data Center project. The role focuses on building and enforcing safety protocols to protect people, equipment, and operations within data center environments.

You will develop, implement, and continuously improve electrical safety programs, conduct arc flash risk assessments, and lead training for employees and contractors.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in electrical safety, EHS, or related field.
• Experience in data center/mission-critical facilities or high-voltage environments preferred.
• Deep knowledge of NFPA 70E, OSHA 1910/1926, and NEC codes.
• CESCP or similar certification a plus.
• Strong communication and training/facilitation skills.
• Ability to assess risk and make sound safety decisions under pressure.
• Bachelor's degree in Safety, Engineering, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience).

You'll be responsible for building and enforcing safety protocols that protect our people, our equipment, and our operations.

What You'll Do

• Develop, implement, and continuously improve electrical safety programs in compliance with NFPA 70E, OSHA, and NEC standards
• Conduct arc flash risk assessments, hazard analyses, and job safety planning
• Lead electrical safety training programs for employees, contractors, and vendors
• Partner with facilities, engineering, and operations teams to ensure safe work practices around high-voltage and critical power systems
• Investigate incidents, near-misses, and safety violations; drive corrective actions
• Maintain compliance documentation, audits, and regulatory reporting
• Support commissioning and maintenance activities in mission-critical or data center environments
• Champion a proactive safety culture across all levels of the organization

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years of experience in electrical safety, EHS, or a related field
• Experience in data center, mission-critical facilities, or high-voltage electrical environments strongly preferred

• Certified Electrical Safety Compliance Professional (CESCP) or similar certification a plus
