Job summary

Quality Technology Services, LLC is seeking a Development Project Engineer – Electrical in Ashburn, VA to assist with design, preconstruction, and construction activities on data center projects. You will interact with facilities, contractors, designers, and operations staff to ensure design standards are met and project scope is clearly defined.

The role requires a BS in electrical engineering or equivalent, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent.
• Experience with design review, construction collaboration, and coordination.
• Ability to communicate complex technical issues to senior leadership or non engineers.

Responsibilities

• Review drawing packages for adherence to design standards.
• Collaborate with design teams to meet local codes and AHJ requirements.
• Define project scope requirements and communicate with design team.
• Coordinate with construction, commissioning, and risk management teams for RFIs and VE queries.
• Review OFCI equipment submittals for design criteria compliance.
• Support resolution of design issues during construction and commissioning.
• Collaborate with procurement on equipment procurement.
• Develop/review SCCAF studies for design adherence.
• Travel up to 10%.
