Job summary

Quality Technology Services, LLC (QTS) is seeking a Development Project Engineer – Electrical to support design, preconstruction and construction on data center projects. You will collaborate with Facilities, Design, Engineering and Operations teams to ensure electrical systems meet design standards and code requirements.

The role requires strong communication, problem-solving and multi-project coordination, with travel up to 10% to sites across the United States.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent.
• Ability to communicate complex technical issues to senior leadership or non-engineers.
• Experience designing electrical systems for data centers or large-scale facilities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review drawing packages for adherence to design standards.
• Collaborate with design teams to ensure compliance with local codes and AHJ requirements.
• Define project scope with stakeholders and ensure alignment with design criteria.
• Assist with RFI responses and value engineering queries during construction and commissioning.
• Review equipment submittals for compliance with design standards.
• Support resolution of design issues discovered during construction and commissioning.
• Coordinate with procurement on equipment procurement.
• Travel up to 10% of the time.
