Job summary

Align is seeking a highly experienced Electrical Pre-Construction Manager specializing in mission-critical and data center facilities to support large-scale hyperscale and colocation projects. This role leads electrical pre-award development by crafting accurate, competitive estimates, bids, and proposals.

Align serves as the data center design, procure and build solutions provider, coordinating electrical, mechanical, plumbing, fire protection, and specialty trade partners to ensure projects

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of electrical pre-award, estimating, engineering, or delivery experience in mission-critical facilities.
• Experience supporting electrical design-build for hyperscale or colocation data centers preferred.
• Strong knowledge of redundant power topologies, codes, and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed electrical estimates, bids and proposals for data center projects.
• Perform quantity takeoffs for MV/LV distribution, UPS, switchgear, PDUs, busways, and lighting.
• Evaluate diagrams and specs for completeness and feasibility.
• Develop scopes, bid packages, narratives, inclusions/exclusions, and clarifications.
• Solicit and analyze subcontractor pricing; perform bid leveling and scope comparisons.
• Identify risks, gaps, and sequencing during pre-award planning.
• Coordinate with operations, engineering, procurement and supply chain.
• Support RFIs and RFPs during pre-award planning; assist value engineering.
• Maintain historical cost data and lessons learned; assist change-order pricing.
• Prepare bid deliverables including summaries, schedule impacts, and labor hours.
