Job summary

Align is seeking an Electrical Project Manager with deep expertise in the design, build-out and commissioning of hyperscale data center electrical systems. This role translates design intent and client requirements into safe, reliable field execution, with daily onsite leadership of subcontractors and schedule management for power distribution from upstream equipment to IT loads.

Qualifications

• 5+ years managing mission-critical electrical construction projects (data centers preferred).
• Strong understanding of electrical distribution systems and redundancy strategies.
• Experience with commissioning, load testing, and power systems (PDUs, RPPs, STS, etc.).
• Ability to read construction drawings and manage subcontractors.
• Knowledge of NEC, OSHA, and related codes.
• Strong communication and organization skills.
• Willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Own delivery of data center white space electrical projects (scope, schedule, budget, quality).
• Act as the on-site lead coordinating subcontractors and trades.
• Manage subcontractors from kickoff through closeout.
• Track risks, changes, and ensure alignment with client expectations.
• Lead QA/QC and resolve field issues.
• Oversee design and installation of electrical distribution systems (busway, PDUs, RPPs, STS, etc.).
• Review drawings, submittals, RFIs, and ensure alignment with project requirements.
• Support development of estimates, BOMs, and design criteria.
• Ensure systems meet code, redundancy, and client standards.
• Oversee field execution, inspections, and trade sequencing.
• Support commissioning, testing, and turnover activities.
• Maintain project documentation, schedules, and reporting.
