Job summary

Align is seeking a highly experienced Electrical Pre-Construction Manager specializing in mission-critical and data center facilities to support large-scale hyperscale and colocation projects.

This role leads electrical pre-award development, producing accurate estimates, bids, and proposals, while coordinating with trades to secure competitive, compliant execution prior to contract award.

Based in the Dallas-Fort Worth area with a hybrid schedule; travel may be required.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years in electrical pre-award; data center focus.
• Experience with hyperscale, colocation, or mission-critical facilities.
• Ability to develop full takeoffs, labor models, and bid packages.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed electrical estimates, bids, and proposals for data center projects.
• Perform quantity takeoffs for MV/LV distribution, UPS, switchgear, transformers, PDUs, busway.
• Develop scopes of work, bid packages, and clarifications.
• Coordinate with operations, engineering, procurement, and SME teams.
• Support RFIs and RFPs during pre-award planning.
• Maintain historical cost data and lessons learned.
• Assist with change order pricing and cost validation.
• Review design documents to identify risks and gaps.
• Support value engineering without compromising performance.
