Job summary

Giga Energy Inc. seeks an Electrical Lead to own the electrical systems for high-demand AI infrastructure. You will lead a portfolio of data center projects—from design and procurement through commissioning and operations—ensuring reliability, safety, and scalable power delivery.

This on-site role requires long-term travel or 3–6 month relocations to multiple sites. You will set technical standards, unblock the team, and manage subcontractors while ensuring NEC and local code compliance across

Qualifications

• Active Master Electrician license (or equivalent state certification).
• 8–15+ years of commercial/industrial electrical experience.
• Deep knowledge of medium- and low-voltage power distribution, UPS, generators, switchgear, and critical power infrastructure.
• Experience overseeing electrical construction projects from design through commissioning.
• Deep knowledge of NEC, NETA and local codes.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage electrical subcontractors with technical, scheduling, and safety direction.
• Own the full lifecycle of data center electrical systems from conceptual design to commissioning and operations.
• Oversee and coordinate electrical subcontractor activities on-site.
• Inspect and verify all critical electrical installations, focusing on terminations, connections, and panel work.
• Ensure work meets NEC, local codes and project specifications; identify and correct deficiencies.
• Serve as on-site authority for electrical best practices and troubleshooting; resolve field issues with PMs and engineers.
• Ensure RFI procedures are followed and as-built drawings are completed; maintain inspection and quality records.
• Enforce safety standards and lockout/tagout procedures; prepare handoff docs for commissioning.
