Job summary

Nebius is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to support the design, review, and development of critical electrical infrastructure for data centers. On-site presence at data centers is required as the role involves hands-on coordination with partners and stakeholders.

You will review designs, evaluate high-density electrical systems, and ensure compliance with NFPA 70 and UL standards while leading projects with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience with electrical systems in large-scale data centers or other critical infrastructure environments.
• Professional Engineering (PE) license or ability to obtain one within 2 years.
• Experience designing, operating, commissioning, or maintaining electrical distribution systems.
• Strong knowledge of UPS systems, generators, switchgear, transformers, and power distribution equipment.
• Understanding of medium- and high-voltage electrical systems and protection schemes.
• Experience leading engineering teams and driving technical projects in complex environments.
• Ability to manage internal stakeholders, consultants, vendors, and outsourced project teams.
• Knowledge of electrical codes and standards, including NFPA 70 and UL requirements.
• Experience with power system analysis tools such as SKM, ETAP, or CymCap.
• Ability to interpret construction drawings, support commissioning activities, and collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Review electrical design packages for data center projects, including internal concepts and third-party partner designs.
• Support development of electrical design concepts for high-density data center environments.
• Evaluate UPS, LV, MV, and HV electrical infrastructure.
• Review cable distribution, electrical pathways, and design coordination with data hall layouts.
• Partner with mechanical, construction, commissioning, and operations stakeholders to ensure designs are buildable, maintainable, and aligned with business needs.
• Assess designs for concurrently maintainable data center operations and high power-density environments.
• Help identify alternative design solutions, product options, and technical tradeoffs.
