Job summary

Jobot is seeking an Electrical Data Center Commissioning Engineer to support large-scale mission-critical and data center projects across the United States. This role offers remote work flexibility with extensive travel to project sites and a strong emphasis on electrical construction, commissioning, testing, and QA of critical power infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field preferred.
• Trade school certification, electrical license, or equivalent training highly valuable.
• Experience in electrical construction, commissioning, startup, testing, or field engineering environments.
• Prior exposure to data center, mission-critical, industrial, utility, or large commercial projects preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct field inspections and QA reviews across commissioning phases.
• Verify installation, startup, testing, and readiness of electrical systems and equipment.
• Review project docs, specs, submittals, and testing reports for compliance.
• Generate and maintain commissioning documentation.
• Use project management/quality software to document activities and progress.
• Participate in commissioning readiness reviews and milestone inspections.
• Identify deficiencies and assist teams with issue resolution.
• Maintain compliance with industry standards, codes, and project requirements.
• Support commissioning managers and project teams throughout execution.
