Job summary

QTS Realty Trust in Irving, Texas, seeks a Development Program Manager to lead design, preconstruction and construction on key data center projects. The role requires onsite work and close collaboration with Facilities, Contractors, Designers, Engineers, Commissioning Agents, Vendors, and Data Center Operations.

The candidate will manage budgets, schedules, and stakeholder communications across multiple campuses, ensuring timely, on-budget delivery while maintaining strong client partnerships

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Science or Engineering or equivalent professional experience.
• Seven or more years of professional experience in commercial construction practices and procedures, including management of Lump Sum, CM@Risk, and Design Build projects.
• Proficient in MS Office; PowerPoint for executive updates and Excel for budgets.
• Willingness to travel up to 25–50% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple projects on campus(es) with budgets, schedules, and status reports.
• Maintain strong developer-client partnership with tenants.
• Create weekly updates for executive review and decision making.
• Lead design and construction teams to develop master development programs and budgets.
• Oversee entitlement, permitting, and phased site development plans.
• Coordinate with Sales Engineers and Product teams for custom deal solutions.
