Job summary

QTS Data Centers seeks a Development Project Engineer to assist with design, preconstruction and construction activities across projects. You will collaborate daily with Facilities, Contractors, Designers, Engineers, Commissioning Agents, Vendors and Data Center Operations to communicate program updates and drive on-schedule delivery.

The role requires a engineering or construction management degree and experience with Microsoft Office tools, budgets, and project control.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management or equivalent professional experience.
• Experience with Microsoft Office suite, specifically PowerPoint and Excel for executive updates.
• 1+ years in commercial construction practices and procedures.
• Experience with data center facilities, MEP trades, and project delivery methods.
• Experience with Bluebeam and Procore.

Responsibilities

• Assist Development leadership and Project Manager with day to day activities and responsibilities.
• Assist with multiple projects on a campus(es) and maintain updated budgets, schedules, and status reports for each.
• Assist with updates on development program & project status for executive reviews.
• Work with stakeholders to develop campus designs, budgets and master development program.
• Assist with entitlement and permitting needs for each assigned site project(s).
• Assist with scopes of work for design, construction, commissioning services & procurement and cost estimates.
• Evaluate and level pricing proposals for design, construction, and commissioning services.
• Monitor project budgets and schedules; ensure on-time completion.
