Job summary

SSOE Group is seeking a Project Manager with data center design experience to join our Industrial Facilities Design practice. You will lead large-scale industrial and advanced manufacturing facilities from concept through startup, coordinating architecture and engineering teams to meet aggressive schedules and budgets.

The role involves managing client relationships, scope, and resources across multiple offices, with opportunities for professional growth within an employee-owned firm.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience managing projects in engineering and construction.
• Proven data center project design/construction experience.
• Knowledge of contract management, pre-construction, renovations, and construction administration.
• Ability to travel to project locations, including international travel.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead multi-discipline projects across all phases, ensuring effective team development, coordination, and performance.
• Manage client relationships to exceed expectations and serve as the primary point of contact for project delivery.
• Define project scope, develop work plans, allocate resources, and align team capabilities with project needs.
• Execute projects within approved budget, funding, and schedule, in accordance with the Project Execution Plan and procedures.
• Oversee technical, cost, and schedule performance, ensuring quality standards and contractual requirements.
• Conduct risk assessments, implement mitigation strategies, and keep leadership informed of issues.
• Coordinate meetings, maintain documentation, and ensure proper communication across stakeholders.
• Manage invoicing, review financial reports, and support cash flow with accounting.
• Mentor project managers, support audits, and address feedback and corrective actions.
• Develop marketing presentations and pursue new business opportunities; travel as needed.
