Job summary

QTS Data Centers is seeking a Supervisor, Critical Operations to lead and drive the tactical execution of maintenance and operations for data center infrastructure. This role ensures electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems are reliable and compliant, while coordinating with customers and the critical operations staff on daily tasks and special projects.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of workplace or relevant industry experience.
• Previous direct or indirect people leadership experience.
• Ability to supervise, mentor, and coach Critical Operations Technicians.

Responsibilities

• Lead preventive maintenance on critical systems (refrigeration, HVAC, electrical, backup systems).
• Coordinate maintenance work orders, parts budgeting, and staffing for the Critical Operations Team.
• Assist customers on the Data Center floor and support customer installs and projects.
• Respond to emergencies and manage incidents with clear communication and escalation as needed.
• Confer with SMEs to develop and approve operational procedures and major estimates.
