CoreSite is seeking a Critical Operations Engineer II to join the Data Center Operations team in Reston, VA. You will operate, monitor, and troubleshoot mission-critical electrical, mechanical, and life-safety systems to ensure uptime and reliability in a high-availability environment.

The role involves collaborating with technicians, vendors, and customers, handling complex incidents, and guiding less experienced staff.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or greater.
• 2-5 years of experience in the data center industry.
• Strong understanding of data center electrical and mechanical infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot critical electrical, mechanical, and life safety systems to ensure uptime.
• Perform facility inspections, respond to abnormal conditions, and document findings.
• Track, trend, and analyze system performance; manage work orders and maintenance via CMMS.
• Provide technical guidance and leadership to teammates during routine operations and incidents.
