Job summary

CoreSite is seeking a Manager (Shift) for Data Center Operations in Reston to oversee electrical, mechanical, and life-safety systems. The role emphasizes project leadership, vendor management, and a focus on operational efficiency within a regulated data center environment.

You will mentor technicians, manage budgets, and drive reliability while ensuring adherence to CoreSite’s standards and SLAs across the facility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Expert understanding of electrical and mechanical data center systems.
• Experience with project management, budgeting, and vendor relations.

Responsibilities

• Serve as data center SME for electrical, mechanical and fire life safety systems.
• Lead shifts, assign work, and manage team performance.
• Oversee preventive/predictive maintenance and ensure on-time completion.
• Maintain vendor contracts and procurement processes; manage budgets.
• Develop and implement operational strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
• Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and audits.
