Job summary

Amazon Critical Infrastructure Engineer role provides full life-cycle support to AWS Data Centers from design inception through maintenance. You will be the go-to engineering resource for your region, troubleshooting, performing RCA/CA, and leading upgrades.

You will collaborate across operations, design, and commissioning teams, work both in the office and field, and help promote safety, reliability, and cost efficiency across global data centers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• NETA or ASHRAE certification or commissioning education.
• Knowledge of critical data center mechanical and electrical equipment.
• MS Office including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Experience with design, construction, operation, or maintenance of mission critical facilities, especially data centers.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, conduct RCA and create CA documentation for site/equipment failures.
• Support operational issues with ad-hoc training and SOP reviews.
• Own conceptual design for data center upgrades to add capacity and improve reliability.
• Interface with operations, design, server hardware, and safety teams to promote standards.
• Develop innovative data center solutions and lead on-site audits and reports.
• Act as resident engineer during new construction and participate in commissioning and turnover.
