Job summary

Iron Mountain is seeking a Critical Facilities Technician to join its Data Centers team in the US. You will support 24x7 operations, monitor power, cooling and security systems, and perform basic maintenance to ensure uptime and reliability.

The role emphasizes safety, documentation, and teamwork within a fast-paced, process-driven environment. Ideal candidates have 0–2 years in a data center or critical facilities setting, with basic knowledge of chiller plants and BMS.

Qualifications

0–2 years experience in a critical operations environment preferred.
Knowledge of Chiller Plant systems (Trane, York) and BMS.
Proficiency with Google Sheets and basic data entry.
Ability to manage multiple systems and ticket queues.
Attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols.
Strong organization and time-management skills.
Willing to pursue growth within Iron Mountain.
Customer-focused mindset; service performance matters.

Responsibilities

Proactively support safety of environment and occupants and follow safety procedures.
Monitor critical power, cooling, security, and facilities to meet up-time targets.
Perform limited maintenance on data center HVAC and facilities.
Monitor and update service tickets in IMDC ticketing system.
Take daily readings of equipment and inspect for hazards or malfunctions.
Identify issues and assist with service delivery tasks when needed.
