Job summary

Iron Mountain is seeking a Critical Facilities Technician to provide technical and facility support in a 24x7 data center environment. The role includes monitoring electrical, HVAC, and building management systems, with responsibility for safety and up-time.

You will work with a team to maintain operations, perform limited maintenance, and update tickets in the system. Candidates should be ready for varied hours, potential overtime, and background checks for customer engagements.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of experience in a critical operations environment or data center preferred.
• Familiarity with chiller plant systems and BMS is a plus.
• Proficiency with Google Sheets and Google Classroom for ticket tracking.
• Strong multitasking and ability to follow defined processes and safety rules.
• Detail-oriented with organizational skills and reliability.
• Desire to learn and grow within Iron Mountain.
• Customer-service mindset and willingness to support colleagues and clients.
• Overtime opportunities and varied shifts, including nights and weekends.
• Ability to obtain government or agency background check clearance; U.S. citizenship may be required.

Responsibilities

• Proactively support safety of the environment and occupants and adhere to safety procedures.
• Monitor critical power, cooling, security and facilities to meet up-time targets.
• Perform limited maintenance to ensure data center operations run smoothly.
• Track and resolve service tickets using IMDC’s system.
• Take daily readings of mechanical and electrical equipment and inspect facilities.
• Identify issues proactively and assist with service delivery tasks when needed.
