Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated is seeking a Critical Environments Operating Engineer to support on-site operations in Eagan, MN. You will operate and maintain mission-critical building systems to ensure 100% uptime for our clients’ data center operations.

The role requires hands-on experience with UPS, generators, switchgear, and power distribution, plus the ability to analyze readings, coordinate with vendors, and respond to emergencies.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a data center or critical facility environment.
• Experience with UPS, emergency generators, switchgear, and power distribution.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient with MS Office, Google Suite, and CMMS.
• Physical ability to lift 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work at heights.
• Flexibility to work different schedules and respond to emergencies.
• Ability to navigate rooftops and large campus settings.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain all critical building systems to ensure uptime.
• Monitor, adjust, and maintain refrigeration, chillers, boilers, pumps, valves, piping, and electrical systems.
• Record equipment readings, analyze operations, and take corrective action.
• Manage work orders via CMMS and coordinate with vendors.
• Respond to site emergencies per escalation procedures.
• Maintain safe storage and disposal of hazardous materials.
