Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated (JLL) is hiring an Operations Engineer for Critical Environments in Alexandria, VA to operate and maintain mission-critical systems and ensure 100% uptime for client operations.

You will manage UPS, generators, cooling systems, switchgear and power distribution, monitor readings, coordinate with vendors via CMMS, and respond to incidents while upholding safety and documentation standards.

Qualifications

• Data center operations experience preferred
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Experience with CMMS and basic office software
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, 24/7 environment

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain critical building systems to ensure 100% uptime, including UPS, generators, cooling systems, switchgear, and power distribution
• Monitor equipment performance, record readings, analyze issues, and take corrective action as needed
• Manage work orders through CMMS, coordinate with vendors, and respond to tickets professionally
• Support safety programs and procedures and participate in on-call coverage as required
