Job summary

Nortek Data Center Cooling is seeking a Service Technician – Data Center Service to support warranty issues and provide technical guidance to end users and field reps. The role is based in the United States and requires hands-on mechanical and electrical work on data center cooling systems.

You will review drawings, troubleshoot, and collaborate with engineering and manufacturing to solve problems, while delivering top‑notch customer service and professionalism on every site.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 3–5 years in installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting; HVAC servicing or similar electromechanical experience preferred.
• Ability to travel ~85% to various job sites for commissioning and warranty work.
• Excellent customer service skills with desire to exceed expectations.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and manuals.

Responsibilities

• Commission, repair, and service mechanical and electrical equipment for Data Center Cooling projects.
• Review work orders, blueprints, schematic diagrams to determine tasks, tools, and parts needed.
• Manage challenging jobs to mitigate impact on customer’s building and experience while minimizing costs.
• Coordinate with owners, contractors, engineers, and local servicing contractors.
• Consult with engineering and manufacturing to resolve unusual problems in system operation and maintenance.
• Provide superior customer service while maintaining professional appearance and demeanor.
• Advise management on customer satisfaction and product improvements.
