Job summary

Upchurch is seeking a Controls Mission Critical Technician to maintain and troubleshoot data center control systems across BAS/BMS platforms, EPMS interfaces, and related equipment. You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance, support alarm response, and ensure system reliability in high-availability environments.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in controls, understanding of BACnet/Modbus networks, and experience with CRAC/AHU and UPS interfaces.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical, vocational, controls, HVAC, electrical, or automation training preferred.
• Reading and interpreting BAS/BMS graphics, alarm summaries, trend logs, and sequences of operation.
• Ability to work in live critical environments and follow strict procedural/documentation requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on data center controls and automation systems.
• Support alarm response, sensor validation, and trend review to ensure uptime.
• Document work performed, readings, trends, and actions with accuracy.
• Follow MOPs, SOPs, EOPs, and safety rules; participate in on-call rotations.
• Assist in startup, functional testing, and turnover of systems.
