Job summary

Upchurch is seeking a Controls – Mission Critical Technician to support data center uptime and operation across BAS/BMS platforms and EPMS interfaces. You will work on field panels, sensors, controllers, and integration points within high-availability environments.

The role emphasizes safety, change control, and documentation, with responsibilities including preventive maintenance, alarm validation, and turnover support per MOPs and SOPs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; controls, HVAC, electrical or automation training preferred.
• Experience in data-center environments and mission-critical facilities is advantageous.
• Ability to read and interpret control drawings, sequences, and alarm summaries.
• Willingness to travel, work nights, weekends, and maintenance windows as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on data center controls and automation systems.
• Work with BAS/BMS controllers, field panels, and related hardware.
• Participate in alarm response, sensor validation, and trend analysis.
• Document readings, actions taken, and system conditions in the CMMS/SOPs.
