Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Controls Technician for Service & Construction of Building Management Systems (BMS) and EPMS within AWS data centers. You will install, test, and troubleshoot field devices, read schematics, and work with AHU controllers and VFDs.

This role focuses on field deployment across multiple data center sites, with emphasis on safety and reliability. The position requires hands-on experience with instrumentation, networking, and low-voltage systems, plus on-call

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Associate degree and 1 year related experience.
• Experience with industrial instrumentation/controls.
• Experience with computer components and operating systems.
• Experience with low/medium voltage electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Work in data center field sites and support multiple sites.
• Perform point-to-point checkouts between field devices and controllers.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot and maintain BMS/EPMS instrumentation.
• Configure and test network communication between third party devices and controllers.
• Read electrical schematics and understand control panel drawings.
• Supervise low voltage wiring and installation by contractors.
• Assist commissioning and systems testing, and document as-built drawings.
• Support root cause analysis and safety on-site.
• Work on-call and respond to after-hours emergencies.
• Manage tickets and prioritize tasks.
