Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is hiring a Controls Technician for Service & Construction of Building Management Systems (BMS) and EPMS in AWS data centers. You will install, test, troubleshoot, and startup controls in data centers, working across multiple sites and coordinating with field technicians.

The ideal candidate has a technical background in industrial controls, sensors, and VFDs, with ability to read schematics and perform commissioning. On-call and after-hours support may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ years in industrial controls or HVAC controls.
• Basic understanding of industrial controls, meters, sensors, relays, and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Work in field at data center sites and support multiple sites.
• Perform point-to-point checkouts between field devices and controllers.
• First-line diagnostics, troubleshooting and maintenance of BMS/EPMS instrumentation.
• Configure network and perform communication tests between third-party devices and controllers.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics and control panel drawings.
• Supervise low voltage electrical contractors who perform wiring and installation.
• Assist in commissioning and system testing and provide field-based recommendations.
