Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Data Center Controls Technician to support building management and power monitoring systems across multiple data centers. The role requires hands-on experience with industrial controls, sensors, networking, and programming, and involves on-call duties in a rotating schedule.

Responsibilities include deploying, servicing, and upgrading BMS/EPMS, mentoring the Facilities team, and performing root-cause analysis during testing and commissioning to ensure safe, reliable data

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical or associate degree with at least one year in industrial instrumentation/controls or equivalent operations.
• Minimum one year experience with computer components and operating systems.
• Minimum one year experience with mission‑critical low/medium voltage electrical and/or mechanical systems.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, service, and upgrade BMS and EPMS across data centers.
• Mentor Facilities team on operation and control of BMS/EPMS.
• Audit and manage enterprise asset management systems for BMS/EPMS.
• Manage small-to-medium size projects and programs.
• Perform point-to-point checkouts between field devices and controllers.
• Troubleshoot and maintain BMS/EPMS programming code and hardware.
