Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a skilled Industrial Controls Technician to support and optimize BMS and EPMS systems across multiple AWS data centers.

You will troubleshoot, calibrate, and maintain electrical and control equipment, while mentoring Facilities staff and leading small projects. The role involves provisioning servers and field devices, reading schematics, and ensuring safety protocols on site.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; technical degree or certified training preferred.
• 1+ years in industrial or HVAC controls; or 3+ years in lieu of degree.
• Experience with low voltage controls, sensors, relays, and calibration tools.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, service, and upgrade BMS and EPMS systems across data centers.
• Mentor Facilities team on BMS/EPMS operation and control.
• Manage small to medium projects and programs.
• Perform point-to-point checkouts between field devices and controllers.
• Diagnose and maintain BMS/EPMS programming and hardware in data centers.
• Coordinate server, controller, and network provisioning and testing.
• Install, configure, and calibrate sensors.
• Read electrical schematics and control drawings, understand closed-loop control concepts.
• Supervise low-voltage electrical contractors for wiring and field device installation.
• Provide commissioning and systems-level testing support.
• Create red-lined drawings and documentation; follow change management processes.
• Participate in factory witness tests and root-cause analysis.
• Ensure site safety practices; manage service tickets and vendor labor scheduling.
