Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) seeks a skilled Controls engineer to manage BMS and EPMS across data centers in the Americas. You will troubleshoot, design, configure, validate and operate advanced building and electrical monitoring systems, collaborating with on-site teams and stakeholders.

You will lead projects, manage scopes, schedules and budgets, and provide technical support during life cycles, including procurement, vendor reviews, and commissioning activities in AWS data centers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or a related field is required.
• 5+ years of relevant controls experience, or 10+ years in lieu of a degree.
• 5+ years of experience with industrial controls in critical environments (data centers, pharma, manufacturing, oil & gas, etc.).
• 4+ years of general project or vendor management experience (RFPs, bids, change orders, quality control, RFIs).

Responsibilities

• Train and assist internal customers with BMS/EPMS design, configuration, validation and operation.
• Provide technical assistance during lifecycle of data centers.
• Review quarterly maintenance results and resolve action items.
• Develop scope, schedule, budget and LOE for BMS/EPMS projects.
• Manage scope, schedule, finances and execution of BMS/EPMS improvement projects in AWS data centers.
• Assist in procurement activities including RFQs and vendor reviews.
• Participate in AWS global on-call for BMS/EPMS support.
• Attend project meetings and report status to management.
• Support commissioning activities for Controls projects.
• Develop and modify SOO and control logic programming and GUIs.
