Job summary

Environmental and Safety Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Construction Safety Associate to support EH&S initiatives for a data center construction and expansion project.

The role requires on-site safety leadership, auditing of contractor compliance, and promotion of a proactive safety culture across all activities. Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communication skills for interaction with project leadership, contractors, and field personnel.
• Proficiency in preparing safety reports, maintaining documentation, and tracking compliance records.
• Ability to work in an active construction environment and perform regular field inspections.
• OSHA 30 certification (OSHA 510/500 preferred).

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site safety leadership and guidance for data center construction and expansion projects.

• Prepare and submit standardized safety reports documenting performance, findings, and compliance status.
• Maintain safety logs, inspection records, and incident documentation for project files.
• Assist with external agency interactions, including OSHA inspections and recordkeeping as appropriate.
• Communicate safety concerns to project leadership and recommend corrective measures.
• Support continuous improvement of site safety practices and promote accountability among contractors.

Job Summary:

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct daily formal safety audits and inspections of active construction activities, identifying hazards, documenting findings, and tracking corrective actions through resolution.
• Serve as a technical safety advisor to the Owner’s Representative, providing guidance on site safety conditions, compliance concerns, and risk mitigation measures.
• Deliver site-specific safety orientations for new personnel and contractors, facilitate toolbox talks and site safety meetings, and provide technical safety training as needed.
• Monitor contractor safety performance and verify that safe work practices are followed throughout all phases of construction.
• Prepare and submit standardized safety reports documenting project safety performance, audit findings, identified hazards, corrective actions, and overall compliance status.
• Maintain accurate safety logs, inspection records, incident documentation, and other project safety files, ensuring reports are properly organized and tracked.
• Assist with external agency interactions, including OSHA inspections, information requests, and OSHA recordkeeping and log management, as appropriate.
