Job summary

Cedar Investment Group (CIG) seeks an experienced Project Manager to lead delivery of large-scale data center and commercial construction projects. You will oversee planning, design through execution, commissioning, and turnover, coordinating with GCs, subs, and vendors.

The role requires a hands-on leader with strong document control, change management, budgeting, and schedule oversight to ensure safety, codes, and client standards are met. Travel across active project sites in the U.S.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of project management experience, including commercial construction and data center projects.
• Experience in document control systems and change management processes.

Cedar Investment Group (CIG) is a developer of large-scale data centers focused on AI and HPC customers that combines its design, development and delivery expertise with large-scale capital raising capabilities to provide equity and debt financing for its projects. CIG is focused on delivering institutional quality products to its customers and capital partners across all aspects of its business. CIG has capitalized and currently provides development management and property management services for approximately $4 billion of data center development projects and controls approximately $10 billion of future pipeline for development.

Summary of Role

CIG is seeking an experienced Project Manager with strong commercial construction and data center expertise to lead the delivery of large-scale, high-impact projects. This role requires hands-on leadership in construction execution, vendor coordination, and stakeholder management, with a particular focus on document control, change management, and large-scale project management.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of delivering complex builds on time and within budget, while ensuring compliance with safety, regulatory, and client standards.

Key Responsibilities

• End-to-End Project Management: Oversee all phases of data center and commercial construction projects, from planning and design through execution, commissioning, and turnover.
• Vendor & Contractor Oversight: Manage relationships with general contractors, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure timely delivery and adherence to contract terms.
• Document Control & Change Management: Maintain accurate project documentation, manage RFIs, submittals, and ensure effective tracking of changes, scope adjustments, and approvals.
• Budget & Schedule Management: Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and cost reports, ensuring financial discipline and alignment with business objectives.
• Risk Management & Compliance: Anticipate risks and implement mitigation strategies; ensure compliance with safety standards, building codes, and industry regulations.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, operations, finance, and executive leadership to ensure projects align with company strategy and client needs.
• Client & Stakeholder Communication: Act as primary point of contact for project status, progress updates, and critical issue resolution.
• Quality Assurance: Monitor construction activities to ensure quality standards are met and projects are delivered to client and company expectations.

Required Experience

• 7+ years of project management experience, with at least 3+ years in commercial construction and/or data center projects.
• Strong expertise in document control systems, change order processes, and construction project management tools
• Demonstrated ability to manage large-scale, complex builds with multiple stakeholders.
• Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment with competing priorities.
• Willingness to travel to active project sites across the U.S. as needed.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree required in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
• Master’s degree in Engineering, Business, or Project Management preferred but not required.
• Professional certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional), CCM (Certified Construction Manager), or LEED Accreditation are highly valued.
